- Mount the gas spring with piston rod facing downwards and Cylinder tube must be Upward side for better damping and proper lubrication to seal assembly.
- Maintain the 5.0 mm minimum Positive gap between end fittings and cylinder Tube to avoid the impact on Guide assembly which can cause Oil Leakage and Force drops in gas springs.
- Tight all mounting nuts / screws properly with the help of Spanner.
- Allow free movement in hole, in case of clevis (Eyelet Type) end connection movement should be free in Hinges.
- Prevent side loads on gas springs this can cause bending of piston rod or cylinder Tube early wear.
- Do not spray or Paint the gas spring piston rod portion or Cylinder Portion
- Do not Heat or Puncture the Gas springs.
- The tube must be protected from dents, & should not be deformed. As such damage could destroy the sealing systems.
- If gas springs are fitted in applications where failure means risk of health or life, So we recommend using additional locking mechanisms. This is totally customer responsibility.
- Unless specifically designed for tension loads, gas spring must not be loaded Pulling forces.
- Do not retract or extend gas springs beyond their design specifications.
- INDIA ENTERPRISES expect end users to test gas springs, because it is not possible to Simulate or anticipate the complete range of situations where our products may be used.
- High accelerations or velocities during extension or compression must not Overload unit.
- Do not place any weight on gas spring.
- Store the gas springs in Vertical positions in Rack, Rod Must downward and tube side mus upward.
- Gas spring Should Use before 6 Months from the date of Manufacturing.
- Avoid modifications in Gas springs
- Do not install defective Gas Springs or Damaged Gas springs
- RPR Gas springs Can Work temperature range of -20 degree celsius to +80 degree celsius.
- RPR Gas springs are maintenance-free! They do not require greasing or lubrication.
- Use the Proper Packing Method and Transport Method for the RPR Gas springs
2. Disposal Instructions For Gas Spring
Before you dispose gas springs, Please keep in mind that the springs are under very high pressure.
Follow the below procedure to dispose gas spring in proper way
- Firstly, clamp the gas spring horizontally at cylinder tube side on Drill Machine From Cylinder Tube end side keep clamping Distance must be 20-25 mm.
- Use the Goggle or Faceshield for eye protection safety before working on Drilling Machine to dispose the gas spring.
- After clamping gas spring on Drilling Machine chuck Make the Hole of 2.0 mm to the welded end side of the Gas Spring
- Gas springs must first be depressurized confirm and sure about this.
- Ensure the piston rod freely moving inside the cylinder tube.
- Open the Gas spring by Machining on Turning Centre at the tube end side on lathe machine or by cutting machine.
- The oil inside has to be drained and disposed separately.
- Remove all the Metal, Rubber and Plastic Parts inside the gas springs
